These terms govern your use of the Sefidanis Academy, the online learning platform of Sefidanis LLC at sefidanis.com. They cover your account, the courses you enrol in, payment, your rights as a student and ours as the provider. By creating an account or enrolling in a course you agree to them. Please read them together with our Refund and Return Policy and our Privacy Policy. Nothing in these terms limits the rights that the law of your own country gives you as a consumer.
The Academy is open to anyone aged 18 or over. You may enrol as a private individual or on behalf of a company, school or institution; in the second case you confirm that you are entitled to act for it.
Each course page describes the course, its content, its duration, the instructor and the price. Prices are shown in euro and include any applicable tax unless the page says otherwise. Your enrolment is complete when we confirm it by email after payment, or immediately for a free course; from that moment the course is available in your profile. If a price is shown wrongly because of an obvious error, we will tell you before confirming and you may cancel at no cost.
You can pay by the methods shown at checkout. Payments are handled by the payment providers named there, and we do not store your card details. We issue a receipt by email for every purchase, and an invoice on request. If a payment fails or is reversed, we may suspend access to the course until it is settled.
As a consumer you may withdraw from a paid enrolment within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason, and we refund you in full within 14 days of your notice. When you enrol you ask us to give you access to the course at once. If you then start the course within the 14 days, you accept that the right of withdrawal ends when you first open the course content. The details, the exceptions and the withdrawal form are in the Refund and Return Policy.
Each course page states its course period, for example ten weeks. Lessons, quizzes and assignments are designed to be completed within that period. Your access does not end when the period does: you may revisit the course material for as long as the course remains on the Academy. If we retire a course, we give you at least three months’ notice and the opportunity to download your certificates and your own work.
If you break these rules we may warn you, remove content, withhold a certificate or suspend or close your account. We will tell you why and give you the chance to respond, except where the breach is serious or the law requires us to act at once.
Course materials, including videos, texts, images, code, quizzes and assignments, belong to Sefidanis LLC or to the instructors and licensors who provide them, and are protected by copyright law. Enrolment gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use them for your own learning. It does not transfer ownership or any other right.
The work you create in a course, such as assignments, projects and code, remains yours. You allow us to store it, show it to your instructor for assessment, and, with your consent, present it as an example of student work with your name credited. You may withdraw that consent at any time.
A course may include quizzes, assignments and other assessments. The passing conditions are stated in the course. When you meet them, you receive a Sefidanis Academy certificate of completion in your profile. The certificate confirms that you completed the course; it is not a state-recognised diploma or a professional licence unless the course page expressly says so.
Our courses are educational. Courses in fields such as healthcare, dentistry, forensics or programming teach knowledge and methods; they are not medical, dental, legal or professional advice for a particular case, and the exercise of any regulated profession remains subject to the qualifications and rules that apply to it.
Instructors who publish courses on the Academy do so under a separate instructor agreement, which covers the ownership of their materials, quality standards and payment. If you would like to teach with us, see Become a Teacher.
We work to keep the Academy available at all times, but it may be interrupted for maintenance, updates or reasons outside our control. We may update and improve course content, and we may replace an instructor. If we materially shorten or withdraw a course you have paid for, you may end the enrolment and receive a refund of the part not yet delivered.
To use the Academy you need an internet connection and a current web browser. We are not responsible for the quality of your connection or your equipment.
We process your personal data to run your account, deliver the courses, assess your work, issue certificates and handle payments, in accordance with the Law on Personal Data Protection of N. Macedonia and our Privacy Policy. Your learning progress is visible to you and to your instructors. We do not sell your data.
We are responsible for delivering the courses as described and for the conformity of the digital content we provide. If a course does not match its description, we put it right, and if we cannot, we reduce the price or refund you. We are not responsible for losses that we could not reasonably foresee, or that result from your own breach of these terms. Nothing in these terms excludes our liability for intent, gross negligence, personal injury or anything else that the law does not allow us to exclude.
If something goes wrong, write to human@sefidanis.com or call +389 (0)70 210 000. We reply within 14 days and try to settle the matter with you directly. If we cannot, you may turn to the State Market Inspectorate of N. Macedonia, to a consumer organisation or to an out-of-court dispute resolution body; if you live in another country, its consumer authority can also assist you. These terms are governed by the law of N. Macedonia, and disputes are heard by the competent court in Ohrid, without affecting the mandatory consumer protections and the courts of the country where you live.
We may update these terms, for example when the law or our courses change. We will publish the new version on this page and, for changes that affect you, tell you by email at least 30 days in advance. Enrolments you have already paid for remain subject to the terms in force when you enrolled, unless the change is required by law or is to your advantage.
